OSU Unveils New Throwback Brand Helmet for Homecoming
OSU knocked it out of the park, again.
I said it earlier this week but OSU’s equipment staff absolutely killing it with their Homecoming helmet goes hand-in-hand with death and taxes. This year is no different.
The Cowboys are donning an orange-orange-white combination with a new version of the throwback brand helmet that is ???.

As pointed out by Justin Southwell, OSU is 9-1 when wearing an orange jersey since 2016 and this is the first time we’ve seen it since last year’s homecoming win over No. 6 Texas. Hopefully that trend continues against No. 18 Baylor. This is the first time OSU has gone O-O-W since all the back in 2012 in a win over Texas Tech.
The helmet is the cherry on top. I love the “Orange Power” on the front bumper.
For those of you keeping score, in this week’s uniform predix both Southwell and Kyle Porter nailed the O-O-W combo with Southwell predicting a throwback brand on an orange lid. (He predicted the 1977-79 helmet so was off by a year but I’ll allow it.)
