How to Follow PFB in 2020: What Subscribing Means
And how to do it.
From now until the end of January, I thought it would be a good thing to update you guys on what’s been going on around here. The first year of the 20s (the 20s, you guys!) is going to be a monster for us as a company, and as always there’s a lot going on. So I wanted to slow down a bit and inform everyone how you can partake in the best OSU news and community anywhere in 2020.
Today: Subscribing

What to Know
The word subscribe (and its close cousins — register, login and member) is ubiquituous in our content world these days (and frankly kind of tiring). It’s what every media company you read, watch or follow — from The Athletic to Netflix to the Tulsa World — is trying to get you to do.
So what does it mean to subscribe to Pistols Firing?
That’s a good question and one I’ve sort of labored through over the past few weeks and months. For us I think it’s pretty simple: You need to subscribe to be able to comment on articles or in our forum. That’s pretty much it for now.
We’ll also send our subscriber the occasional special PFB+ deal (more on this in a later post), but the real benefit of subscribing for now is joining the conversation in our forum (which I have to say has been a blast).
Dreams
Right now we have about 3,500 subscribers, most of them with free accounts. I’d love that to be 35,000 someday because it would mean our forums are really humming.
We would also like to provide options to our subscribers to receive daily, weekly, or “when news happens” emails from us. Again, our resources probably aren’t deep enough currently to do something like that right now (but if you want to receive the Daily Bullets via email, you can do so here).
How to Subscribe
It’s very easy. You click here and register with your email address and a password.
