Michael Cobbins to Defend the Rim for Stillwater Stars in TBT Tournament

The Stillwater Stars added yet another former Cowboy to their ranks as OSU alum Michael Cobbins has signed on for the TBT Tournament exhibition according to the Oklahoma State TBT Twitter account.

The news came just two days after Lindy Waters, Thomas Dziagwa and Cobbins’ former teammate Markel Brown were announced as additions to the group.

The Stars’ roster currently sits at:

That list includes three of the top nine scorers in OSU history and plenty more dynamic offensive playmakers. So adding a little defensive prowess isn’t a bad move.

Cobbins ranks sixth all-time in career blocks at OSU (164) and recorded 13 four-block games. He was an all-conference honorable mention his sophomore year in 2013. He was also named to two Big 12 all-defense teams in 2013 and 2015. He’s one of only three Cowboys to record three seasons with at least 40 blocks.

With a roster full of former teammates and dynamic scorers, adding the undersized, yet versatile defensive specialist should fill a need for the Stars.
