Cal Baptist Grad Transfer Ferron Flavors Says he’s Sticking With OSU Commitment
A huge recruiting win for Mikey B. and staff.
In the aftermath of the NCAA’s Committee on Infractions decision this past week to ban Oklahoma State from the 2021 postseason, a huge chunk of the Cowboys’ incoming class has said they’re still riding with Mike Boynton.
In addition to incoming freshmen Donovan Williams and Rondel Walker, Cal Baptist grad transfer Ferron Flavors told Jeff Goodman of Stadium on Tuesday that he, too, is planning to hold true to his commitment. Flavors is considered one of the best available shooters that was on the transfer market this offseason.
Former Cal Baptist guard Ferron Flavors, who committed to Oklahoma State earlier this summer as a grad transfer, told me he'll stick with his commitment despite the 1-year postseason ban the NCAA hit the program with Friday. Flavors averaged 13.5 ppg.

Per Synergy, Flavors ranked in the 99th percentile as a spot-up shooter last season, averaging 13.5 points per game while hitting 43.9% of his 212 3-point attempts. I wrote in the wake of his commitment why adding him specifically was such a big deal, which you can read here, but the TL;DR version in four words:Â perfect fit alongside Cade.Â
Speaking of, Cade, Montreal Pena and Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe are the only three who haven’t affirmed their pledges yet publicly in the aftermath of the NCAA’s detonation. Cade’s decision in particular may swing some of their decisions (including Walker and Williams), but it’s nonetheless a good sign that a good shooter in Flavors says he’s sticking with the Pokes in the midst of everything.
