In-State Guard Rondel Walker Reaffirms Oklahoma State Commitment

Rondel Walker has been committed to the Cowboys since last Halloween, and that isn’t changing because of the program’s recent sanctions.

Walker, a four-star guard out of Putnam City West, was the latest Cowboy to reaffirm his Oklahoma State commitment Thursday after the NCAA hit OSU with a postseason ban a few weeks ago. The first member of OSU’s highly regarded 2020 class, Walker is the No. 93 prospect in the cycle and initially chose OSU over offers from Texas, Virginia Tech, Arkansas, Kansas State, Texas A&M and others.

“As a player and as a simple young kid, I feel loyalty goes a long way,” Walker wrote. “Coach B [Mike Boynton] has been loyal to me for over four years throughout my recruitment process. So it was a no-brainer to remain solid for this one year and every year after that.”

In recent days, Isaac Likekele, Kalib Boone, Chris Harris, Avery Anderson, Ferron Flavors and Donovan Williams have tweeted out similar graphics to announce their steady commitment. Ole Miss transfer Bryce Williams committed after the sanctions were handed out, so whether or not he puts something out like we’ve seen from other players, expect him to come to OSU.

Big men Yor Anei and Hidde Roessink are expected to enter the transfer portal, so that leaves Cade Cunningham, Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe, Keylan Boone, and Montreal Pena as players who haven’t said anything one way or the other.
