Oklahoma State Reports Two Active Cases of COVID-19 in Football Program

Oklahoma State began testing its athletic teams for COVID-19 on June 1, and as of Monday, the athletic department has only three active cases.

Oklahoma State released data Monday afternoon stating two of those cases are part of the football team with the caveat that one active case is a walk-on who tested positive before arriving on campus.

The department states it has had 77 positive tests since June 1. The release didn’t mention how many tests had been administered.

OSU also reports no active cases on its soccer or cross-country teams, the university’s other fall sports. The one other active case within the athletic department was in a category titled “all other sports.”
