LOOK: The 1987 Sun Bowl Throwbacks Are Better Than We Thought
These are fire.
Ho-lee. Smokes. People, the 1987 Sun Bowl throwback uniforms are even better than we expected. They are fire and may combust before the game even begins.
This is quite the way to bust them out, too. OSU is honoring Thurman Thomas for his Ring of Honor induction today, more than 30 years removed from Thomas’ elite Sun Bowl outing in the same threads.
I don’t want to go full hyperbole here but these may be the greatest unis OSU has put out on the field this decade. There have been some pretty great combos — the Patriot Pete helmet among them — but top to bottom this is one of the cleanest looks OSU has trotted out.
