Big 12 Moving Conference Championship Game to Dec. 19
The Big 12 Championship got flexed to a later date.
In the wacky world that is 2020 scheduling, the Big 12 Championship game had an option to be played Dec. 12 or Dec. 19, and the league announced Monday it would be the latter.
Some of the decision to push the game back likely had to do with Oklahoma State, who is still in contention to get to Arlington. The Cowboys’ game against Baylor was postponed earlier in the season, and it was moved to Dec. 12, which would’ve been quite the conflict.
The game will likely feature some combination of OSU, Oklahoma, Texas, Iowa State and Kansas State. If the Pokes can muster up a Bedlam win Saturday, they’d be in a great spot having already played those other three teams. A loss for the Cowboys would make things interesting, though.
The Cowboys and Sooners square off at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Norman.
