Wallace, Harvell-Peel, Springfield Back for Bedlam
Good news for the Pokes.
The Cowboys limped in and out of Manhattan two weeks ago in their matchup against Kansas State, but the Pokes will enter Bedlam in a much better spot.
On Oklahoma State’s pregame radio show, Mike Gundy told Dave Hunziker that Tylan Wallace, Kolby Harvell-Peel and Jake Springfield are all good to go against the Sooners after missing the K-State game.
“We’re considerably healthier now than we were two weeks ago,” Gundy said.
The Cowboys were also healthier in practice this week. Gundy said Harvell-Peel and Wallace practiced all week. Gundy also mentioned that quarterback Spencer Sanders only practiced once in the week before the K-State game, but he also practiced all week heading into Bedlam.
Harvell-Peel and Wallace are obvious big names that will help OSU, but Springfield might be just as important to OSU’s success Saturday evening. Springfield will start at left tackle.
Gundy said he didn’t know whether Springfield was “full,” and added he hopes he can hold up. Springfield suffered an ankle injury during the Texas game.
The returns are all good news for the Cowboys. The Sooners could be without some guys, as reports have began to surface about a COVID outbreak within the Sooners program.
The Cowboys and Sooners kickoff at 6:30 p.m. on ABC.
