OSU Baseball: Cowboys Add Games with Wichita State, Push Back Home Opener
OSU and Wichita State will play for the 96th and 97th time.
The Cowboys have found a new opponent for their canceled season-opener.
Oklahoma State will play at Wichita State on Sunday and Monday to start the Pokes’ 2021 season. This comes a day after OSU had to cancel its trip to Sam Houston State because of weather-related issues.
OSU was set to open O’Brate Stadium with a pair of games against Little Rock on Tuesday and Wednesday, but those teams will only play Wednesday because of weather.
So, after all the shifts, OSU’s first three games of the season are:
2 p.m. Sunday at Wichita State
2 p.m. Monday at Wichita State
4 p.m. Wednesday vs. Little Rock
OSU and Wichita State have a long history with each other on the diamond. Separated by a two hour bus trip, the two teams have met 95 times, where OSU has a 60-35 record against the Shockers.
As of now, it doesn’t appear either Wichita State game will be streamed, but the Little Rock game is set to be on ESPN+.
