Derek White to Join Alex Dieringer at the Cliff Keen Wrestling Club
The Cliff Keen Wrestling Club has announced Derek White will be headed to Michigan to train at their RTC.
White, who finished as an NCAA runner-up in 2019, will head to Ann Arbor to train at Michigan alongside fellow former Cowboy Alex Dieringer.
White had continued to train at the Cowboy RTC after college, and Michigan will be his first training location outside Stillwater post-college.
Michigan coach Sean Bormett had this to say about White.
“Derek will be a great addition to our CKWC roster. We are very proud of our recent heavyweight success, both domestically and abroad, and Derek is going to add a lot to the competitiveness and intensity on that upperweight side of our wrestling room. He has a lot of talent, and I believe with the right work and continued development, he has the potential for great freestyle success. I’m excited to get him to Ann Arbor and get to work.”
