OSU Favored by Nearly Two Touchdowns Over Tulsa in Week 2
OSU is a double-digit favorite for the second time this season.
OSU faces a Tulsa team in Week 2 that took on a terrible loss in Week 1 to UC Davis, 19-17, but bookmakers still think the in-state showdown on Saturday between the Cowboys and Golden Hurricane will be a close one.
OSU opened as a two-touchdown favorite at Vegas Insider, but that line has dropped to 13 points ahead of Saturday’s 11 a.m. kickoff, with some books favoring them by only 12.5. The line total is set at 51.5, meaning OSU’s implied point total is 32.25 points (and by extension TU’s implied total is 19.25 points).
We’re only one game into the season, but betting lines are about as reliably predictive for OSU as Oklahoma meteorologists are for weather. OSU was favored by 32.5 points against Missouri State in Week 1, and the total for that game was 51.5. Missouri State easily covered in a 23-16 loss and the under — which rarely cashes for OSU, especially at such a low number — easily hit.
