Cowboys Open as 2.5-Point Underdogs against Notre Dame
The Cowboys open as dogs in the desert.
The Cowboys are headed to the desert to ring in the new year, and it looks like they will be playing the role of underdog.
According to Caesars Sportsbook, Oklahoma State opened as a 2.5-point underdog to Notre Dame in the upcoming PlayStation Fiesta Bowl.
The Cowboys are 9-3-1 against the spread on the year.
The over/under on the game has been set at 44.5, meaning that Vegas is probably expecting more of a defensive outing than “street football.” Their stingy defense has resulted in the under in eight of the Cowboys 13 games so far. They’re 6-2 in those games ATS.
If this points total holds, it would represent the lowest all year by either team. The Big 12 Championship of 45.5 was the Cowboys’ lowest thus far.
Notre Dame is 10-3 against the spread this year ending with an under result six times. The Fighting Irish are 5-1 in those games.
