Senior seasons are coming to an end for many Cowboy football commits, but six played in games this past weekend.

Here is a look at how those game shook out, starting with an outstanding high school football game in Nebraska.

Zane Flores / QB / Gretna (12-1) / Nebraska

Zane Flores and the Gretna Dragons had their unbeaten run come to an end in what has to be one of the best high school football games in Nebraska’s history.

Gretna played Omaha Westside in the Class A state final, but the Dragons fell 43-41 via walk-off field goal.

Flores slung the pill all over the yard, going 21-for-37 with 414 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions. He also ran for 52 yards and another score.

Gretna got the ball trailing 41-40 with 2:32, and Flores marched the Dragons right down the field … just a little too quickly. The drive started with Flores completing a seven-yard pass, then a 54-yard pass before Gretna’s running back scampered in from 14 yards out. The drive was three-plays, 75 yards and took only 37 seconds off the clock.

That allowed for Omaha Westside to respond, driving it down to the Gretna 27-yard line before the game-winning field goal.

Jaedon Foreman / DL / Del City (9-3) / Oklahoma

Del City’s season came to an end in the quarterfinal round of the 5A playoffs after a 19-0 loss to Carl Albert.

Stats aren’t yet submitted to MaxPreps for Del City.

Kam Franklin / DB / Oak Grove (9-3) / Louisiana

Kam Franklin’s senior season is still going after Oak Grove topped Welsh 35-14 in the second round of the Louisiana Division IV Non-Select Playoffs.

Tackle totals weren’t on MaxPreps, but Franklin did have an interception in the game, his second of the season.

Oak Grove plays 10-1 Kentwood in the quarterfinal round this weekend.

Poasa Utu / LB / Kennedale (8-4) / Texas

Poasa Utu’s senior season came to an end this week when Kennedale fell to Celina 34-28 in the Texas 4A-DI state playoffs.

Stats aren’t on MaxPreps, as of writing.

JaKobe Sanders / OL / Stillwater (11-0) / Oklahoma

The Pioneers just continue to roll, beating Bartlesville 56-0 in the quarterfinals of the 6A-II bracket.

Stillwater will play 10-1 Deer Creek in the semis, a team that has outscored its past four opponents a combined 232-6.

Gage Stanaland / OL / Jim Ned (8-4) / Texas

New OSU commit Gage Stanaland had his senior season come to an end over the weekend with a 28-10 loss against Bushland in the second round of the Texas 3A-DI playoffs.
