Three-Star Defensive Lineman Edward Smith Includes Oklahoma State in Top Group
Smith is listed at 6-foot-6, 250 pounds.
Oklahoma State could be close to snagging a long pass rusher in the 2024 class.
Edward Smith, listed at 6-foot-6, 250 pounds, released his top seven schools on Monday evening: Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, TCU, Houston, Kansas, Oregon and Purdue.
Smith is the No. 467 player in the 2024 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Those rankings list him as the No. 34 edge rusher in the class and the No. 79 prospect from Texas.
Oklahoma State offered Smith back in September as he went on to have 22 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble in his junior season at Dawson High School in Pearland, Texas.
Oklahoma State has seven commitments in its 2024 class. Choctaw’s Will Smith is the only defensive lineman of the group, as of now. OSU’s class ranks 31st nationally and third in the Big 12.
