Isaiah Miranda a Name to Watch as NBA Draft Deadline Approaches
Wednesday is the last day players can remove their names from the NBA Draft.
The deadline for players to remove their names from the NBA Draft is Wednesday, which could start the next wave in transfer portal commitments.
One of those names, Oklahoma State fans will want to keep an eye on is Isaiah Miranda, according to Jeff Goodman. Should Miranda not stay in the draft, Goodman reports he would “strongly consider” Oklahoma State along with, UCF, Villanova, Georgetown and Florida State. Goodman reports that Miranda will have a workout Wednesday before the withdrawal deadline.
Miranda joined NC State midsemester but didn’t end up playing for the Wolfpack before declaring for the NBA Draft and then entering his name in the transfer portal.
Listed at 7-foot-1, 205 pounds on NC State’s roster, Miranda was a Top 50 player in his recruiting class with offers to UCLA, Texas, USC, Georgetown, Oklahoma State and others.
Oklahoma State still has two open scholarships after adding five incoming freshmen and three transfers thus far. Miranda would be a boost to the Cowboys’ reworked frontcourt that has seen Kalib Boone, Moussa Cisse and Tyreek Smith leave this offseason. Brandon Garrison is an incoming McDonald’s All-American and OSU also added Jacksonville transfer center Mike Marsh.
