Oklahoma State’s Fall Football Roster Includes Some Notable Newcomers and Departures
See who’s missing from the Cowboys’ fall roster.
Big 12 Media Days has come and gone and now the next step toward fall football is here.
Oklahoma State released its 2023 fall football roster and there are some notable departures and a slew of newcomers, mostly true freshmen.
Let’s take a look at some significant changes from the Cowboys’ spring roster.
Incoming Cowboys
The Cowboys welcome a big class of incoming freshmen. Six of the 2023 class enrolled early and now the other 22 true freshmen are ready to join the program.

Departures
The Cowboys will be a bit thinner with a few significant pieces missing that were listed on the spring roster. Most notably, the Pokes will be without redshirt junior running back Deondre Jackson. The former Texas A&M transfer rushed it 32 times for 134 yards for OSU last year. He was expected to vie for reps in the Cowboys’ backfield this fall.
Also missing are Rylan McQuarters (son of OSU standout R.W. McQuarters) and defensive end Dillon Metcalf, who spent the last two seasons in Stillwater but did not record any stats.
