Report: OSU to Face Tulsa in Hoops in OKC
The Cowboys and Golden Hurricane will meet in back-to-back years.
It looks like we’ve got another piece of the Cowboys’ nonconference schedule.
Oklahoma State will face Tulsa on Dec. 10 in Oklahoma City as part of the Battleground 2K, according to a report by college hoops insider Jon Rothstein.
For those complaining about the OKC venue as opposed to the more central BOK Center in Tulsa, it looks like these may not be the only two teams in the event.
The Battleground 2K is an interleague exhibition put on by U-Sports Group, a sports management company. Last year’s event took place in Dallas, Texas, and featured Texas A&M, Boise State, Houston and St. Mary’s. There’s no indication of which other teams might be participating this year, as of writing.Â
The Cowboys and Golden Hurricane are no strangers, but it’s been a lopsided series historically and recently. Oklahoma State is 73-37 all-time against Tulsa. The in-state foes met last season in Stillwater with OSU coming out on top 82-56. OSU has won six of the last eight meetings with TU and Mike Boynton is 2-1 against Tulsa.
