Bedlam Soccer: Cowgirls Defeat Sooners in Regular-Season Finale
But the Bedlam rivals will meet again this weekend.
In front of the second-largest crowd in Oklahoma State soccer history, the Cowgirls capped their regular season with a Bedlam win. Can’t get much better than that.
Oklahoma State defeated Oklahoma 1-0 on Monday thanks to a late score by a senior, on Senior Day. It broke a five-game skid for the Cowgirls and set up for a Bedlam rematch this weekend.
In the 83rd minute, Alex Morris scored her second goal of the season to put the Cowgirls up 1-0. OSU was able to hold on for the win to move to 12-7-0 on the season and finish 5-5-0 in Big 12 play.
OSU has now gone nine straight Bedlams without a loss (7-0-2) and moves to 31-9-5 against the Sooners, but OU will get a chance for revenge this weekend.
The Cowgirls and Sooners will square off again on Saturday in the Big 12 Soccer Championship. OSU will be a 7 seed and the Sooners (3-5-2) will be the 9 seed.
