OSU Makes Top 5 for 2025 Cornerback Zadian Gentry
The Cowboys make the cut for a three-star Texas DB.
The Cowboys are one step closer to landing their first defensive back for the 2025 class.
Three-star cornerback Zadian Gentry cut his group of top schools down to five on Wednesday, and the Cowboys made the cut, along with Wisconsin, Missouri, Baylor and SMU. He released a top eight that also included OSU back in January.

Gentry hails from McKinney High School (Texas), where he logged 41 tackles, intercepted a pair of passes and had four pass breakups as a junior, according to MaxPreps. Over the last three seasons, he’s broken up 18 passes and picked off five more. He was high school teammates with OSU signee, linebacker Jonathan Agumadu.
Gentry is currently ranked as a three-star prospect by all major recruiting services, with the 247Sports Composite ranking being the highest on him, as of writing, regarding him as the No. 38 cornerback in the country and the No. 65 overall prospect out of the Lone Star State.
OSU first offered Gentry back in May of 2023, and he has an official visit to Stillwater scheduled for April 26.
This news came on the same day the Cowboys earned pledges from Kyle Keya on defense and Ryker Haff on the offensive line to bring OSU’s 2025 commits to four. If things go well in Stilly in a couple of weeks, maybe Gentry will be the fifth.
