Oklahoma State Offers 2025 Defensive Lineman Jordan Covington
Covington was teammates with a Cowboy signee.
The Cowboys are looking to pull a defender from McKinney High School in back-to-back classes.
A defensive lineman from the school, Jordan Covington announced an Oklahoma State offer on Friday. A 2025 prospect listed at 6-foot-3, 260 pounds, Covington also has offers to Missouri, Cincinnati, Kansas and others. OSU signed McKinney linebacker Jonathan Agumadu in the 2024 class.

Covington isn’t yet rated by the major recruiting services, but he finished his junior year with the Lions having recorded 22 tackles, seven tackles for loss and six sacks, according to MaxPreps. McKinney went 9-3 in Covington’s junior season, making it to the second round of the Texas 6A-DII playoffs.
Covington has an official visit scheduled to Kansas in June.
OSU’s nine-man recruiting class ranks 25th in 247Sports’ rankings. That number is good for fourth in the Big 12. OSU has just one defensive prospect committed thus far in Wichita edge rusher Kyle Keya.
The Cowboys’ recruiting took off in the official visit-heavy month of April, as seven players committed during the month. Thus far, that success has rolled over into May with Utah tight end Jordan Vyborny committing to the Cowboys on Thursday morning.
