Daily Bullets (Aug. 15): Speculating on News from Fall Camp, An OSU-UCF Title Game?
Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news.
OSU Bullets
• All sorts of speculation here – but if you heard Ollie Gordon was hurt earlier this week, it appears, per Robert Allen, that Ollie Gordon will be just fine (X)
• Berry Tramel predicts OSU-UCF in the Big 12 title game – with the Golden Knights upsetting the Cowboys and both teams making the CFP (TulsaWorld)
• Why the OSU-Utah game is one of the best in the Big 12 this year:
It’s the program that’s been the most consistent for the last 15 years in the “old” Big 12 against the most consistent for the last 15 years in the “new” Big 12. It’s two of the longest-tenured coaches in college football in Mike Gundy vs. Kyle Whittingham. Plus, the winner will be in the driver’s seat of the Big 12 Championship race. This is one I would never miss. [HCS]
• Here’s a notebook with updates from fall camp (PFB)
• I’d love to hear Mike Gundy explain why OSU had the lowest sack rate described below – best guesses: incredible respect for the running game, a solid offensive line, and possibly an offense that runs a lot on first down.
These teams excelled at avoiding first down sacks last year. pic.twitter.com/KId3kKJHFX
