Ferrari hasn’t officially wrestled collegiately since before former coach John Smith dismissed him from OSU’s program in July 2022 after Ferrari was accused of sexual assault, among other issues. He came to OSU as the top prospect from the 2020 class. Ferrari immediately burst onto the scene, winning an NCAA title and Big 12 championship at 197 pounds as a freshman in 2021. He was projected to be the next big star for Cowboy wrestling, with hopes of becoming a four-timer, before off-the-mat issues derailed his career.
After starting the 2021-22 season 10-0, Ferrari and cross-country athlete Isai Rodriguez were involved in a car accident. Ferrari did not wrestle again that season after the incident. He then eventually got into legal issues, ultimately leading to him leaving OSU.
Since, Ferrari has not wrestled for another college but has been teasing a comeback. He announced visits to CSU Bakersfield and Northern Colorado before choosing CSU Bakersfield.
