Dreshaun Ross doesn’t just have to choose a college, but also he has to choose which sport or how many sports he will compete in.

Ross on Monday included Oklahoma State his final four school choices along with Iowa, Iowa State and Penn State. Ross has multiple Division-I offers as both a wrestler and football player. OSU has offered Ross, from Fort Dodge, Iowa, only in wrestling thus far. In-state schools Iowa and Iowa State have offered him in both.

As a wrestler, Ross is already a two-time state champion in Iowa entering his junior season. He won his first title as a freshman at 195 pounds, becoming the first freshman in Iowa to ever win a Class 3A title in a weight heavier than 160 pounds. He won his second championship at 215 pounds as a sophomore. Ross also earned gold at the U17 World Team Trials at 92 kilograms, which happens to be the same weight class OSU coach David Taylor just won a Worlds bronze medal in.

Ross will likely wrestle at heavyweight in college, already as a 6-foot-3, 200-pound linebacker. Rivals is the highest on Ross as a football player, listing him as a four-star product, while 247Sports and On3 gave him three stars. Rivals also ranked him as the top 2026 recruit in the state of Iowa. Outside of the in-state programs, Ross also has offers for football from Kansas State, Michigan, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, Purdue and Wisconsin. Considering that list and his accolades, Ross would definitely be talented enough to play football for the Cowboys despite not yet having an offer. Ross still hasn’t announced which sport (or sports) he plans to compete in once in college, though.

Ross visited Stillwater two weekends ago when the football team was on the road at BYU. He most recently visited Iowa last week. Despite including it in his top four four, Ross still hasn’t announced a visit to Penn State yet.

For Taylor, Ross would be his second commitment from a loaded 2026 class. Rocklin Zinkin became the first pledge in September. OSU is also still in the running for top recruits in the class Bo Bassett and Jax Forrest.
