NFL Update: How Justice Hill, Tylan Wallace Figure into the Baltimore Ravens’ AFC Divisional Matchup with Buffalo Bills

If you’re an OSU fan without a dog remaining in the NFL playoff fight, the Baltimore Ravens ought to be your team.

Justice Hill and Tylan Wallace, a pair of all-time Cowboys, are donning purple, and both made plays in the Ravens’ Wild Card win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now they’re on to the divisional round to face the Buffalo Bills. Win and they’ll face the winner of Kansas City and Houston in the AFC Championship.

Let’s take a look at the matchup, how to watch and where the two former Pokes could factor in.

A Ravens’ Dozen?

Baltimore and Buffalo have squared off 12 times with the Ravens holding a 7-5 edge. But the Bills took the single postseason meeting between the two in 2021. They met once this season, a 35-10 Ravens win in Baltimore. That one had a little OSU flavor, as we’ll get to.

There should be some points scored.

Baltimore comes in ranked first in the NFL in total offense and rushing offense and seventh in passing. The Ravens are third in the NFL in scoring, putting up 30.5 points per game. But the Bills are second, at 30.9, though they come by those points in a much more balanced way. Buffalo ranks ninth in both rushing and passing.

The Ravens made it to the AFC Championship last season but fell to the eventual Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Justice Hill Continues Career Year

Justice signed a two-year extension with the Ravens this past September by finding ways to get involved despite a stingy, bruising backfield ahead of him. With guys like Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson demanding most of the carries, it pays to be versatile.

He sits at a career-best 635 yards from scrimmage and five touchdowns (four through the air). Hill logged a season-high 96 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown against the Bills back in September.

Tylan Filling In

Tylan is also off to a career year, logging 214 receiving yards and a score. He had a nice 21-yard catch in the Ravens’ Wild Card win. As Baltimore’s top target Zay Flowers has been out, and his status for this weekend looks uncertain, Wallace may have even more opportunities to make plays.
