Reminiscing on his time as a Cowboy, Thompson pointed to the Cowboys’ trip to Waco in his sophomore season (his first in Stillwater) as his favorite memory. OSU upset No. 1 Baylor that day on the road, with Thompson pouring in 19 points.

• Two weeknight games in 2025 for Cowboy Football: 

Oklahoma State on Friday announced that it’s game against Tulsa for the 2025 football season has been moved to Friday, Sept. 19 in Stillwater. It was initially scheduled to take place on that Saturday. That means two of OSU’s nonconference games will be on a non-Saturday, as the Cowboys’ season opener against UT-Martin is set for Thursday, Aug. 28.
