Daily Bullets (Mar. 21): Pokes Still on the Podium Through Day One, What Progress Looks Like
Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news.
OSU Bullets
• The Cowboys wrestled round one of the NCAA Championships in Philadelphia yesterday:
– Cowboys in third place through day one
– Highlighted by a big Caleb Fish upset in round two
– This refresher on scoring was helpful
– Catch a recap from Session 1 here
• Biggest sign of progress? Wrestlers still in line for a shot at the title on day two.
Need another sign that the Cowboys are making strides in the right direction? The Cowboys have put six into the quarterfinals after having three last year and only two in 2023.
Troy Spratley, Caleb Fish, Cameron Amine, Dean Hamiti, Dustin Plott and Wyatt Hendrickson all still have a shot at a national title after the first day.
• Teven Jenkins got a new deal with the Cleveland Browns – finally leaving the squad that drafted him in Chicago
• Cowboy Basketball is taking on SMU on Sunday in Dallas at 2pm CST – you can get tickets here (X + SMUMustangs)
• Take a look at stats around March Madness betting (AP)
• Brennan Presley can certainly move but doesn’t it feel like his quickness is what’s insane over his top speed overall? (X)
Non-OSU Bullets
• Visualizing the religious landscape of the US
• How being anti-social can hurt your health (I’ll be using this on my introvert wife)
