It hasn’t taken long for David Taylor to start working on his second Oklahoma State roster.

Casey Swiderski, an All-American at Iowa State in 2024, is headed to Stillwater, according to On3’s Nick Kosko. He should have two years of eligibility remaining.

Swiderski missed this past season with a knee injury he suffered in practice, but he was an All-American at 149 pounds during the 2023-24 season — finishing seventh at the NCAA Championships. He went 24-5 that season and finished third at Big 12s.

Down at 141 pounds in 2022-23, Swiderski qualified for NCAAs as a true freshman and made it to the blood round, finishing a match shy of All-America status. He went 14-12 that year, finishing fourth at Big 12s.

As a high schooler, Swiderski was the No. 3 recruit in the 2022 recruiting class, according to MatScouts. He won four Michigan state titles — becoming just the fourth Michigander to accomplish that feat. He went 166-3 as a high schooler.

Out of Dundee, Michigan, Swiderski was listed as a 141-pounder this season for the Cyclones before his injury. Tagen Jamison has been the Cowboys’ starter at 141 the past two seasons, but he is a big 141. Carter Young started much of the season at 149 for the Pokes, but Teague Travis took over late, finishing fourth at Big 12s to qualify for the national tournament.

This is the first transfer Taylor has added early this offseason, but with seven regular starters from this past season’s lineup being seniors, it’s not crazy to think that there will be more.
