Former Vanderbilt Defensive Lineman De’Marion Thomas Signs with Oklahoma State
The Cowboys add another experienced piece to its defensive front.
The Cowboys continue to rebuild their defensive front with proven transfers.
De’Marion Thomas, who started all 13 games for Vanderbilt last season, is heading home sport an orange jersey next year, according to multiple reports.
The incoming junior played his high school ball at Tulsa Union before picking Vandy over offers from the likes of Baylor, Arkansas, Iowa State and Wisconsin. The Cowboys didn’t off that go round, but they’ve landed the productive lineman now.
The 6-foot-2, 334-pound lineman racked up 34 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack last season and comes in with 23 games of SEC experience and two years of eligibility left. He played in 10 games as a freshman in 2023, finishing with seven tackles.
Thomas adds to a long list of defensive linemen the Cowboys have gotten from the transfer portal and is their second in as many days, following former Colorado edge rusher. Taje McCoy, another Oklahoma native.
