Daily Bullets (Aug. 26): Diving into the Depth Chart, Predicting Mike Gundy’s Retirement

• The Cowboys released their first depth chart of the season yesterday. You can read thoughts on the first depth chart here – four of the five offensive line spots are named at this point (not the case in other position groups) (PFB)

• Predicting the 2025 C0wboy Football season (PFB)

• Bill Haisten reiterated his prediction that Mike Gundy will retire after the 2025 football season. 

But even if this year’s Cowboys are much better and more successful than expected, I’m expecting Gundy to leave after his 21st season as the Cowboy head man.

This is why: Because college football will still be just as broken in December as it is today.

I just think he’ll decide, “Life is too short for this. Enough is enough.”
