Jaylen Warren Signs Contract Extension with Pittsburgh Steelers
“It’s a great feeling knowing they have my back.”
On Monday, former Cowboys running back Jaylen Warren signed a two-year contract extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to reporting from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the deal includes $12 million guaranteed in addition to a $5.95 million signing bonus.
“It’s a great feeling knowing they have my back,” Warren said, according to ESPN’s Brooke Pryor. “I’m going to do what I can to have their back.”
Pryor reports that Warren is now set to bring home more than $7 million this season, which represents a bump of more than $1.5 million.
Warren is poised to begin the season as the Steelers’ starter.
“Everyone who goes to JuCo [this] is what they dream about, being in a situation like mine,” Warren said to Pryor. “And so, I hope I can be the one they look up to when you’re in those hard situations in JuCo … because that life is … not easy.”
