It’s felt like forever since the Cowboys took to Boone Pickens Stadium for their season opener, but the Pokes are finally back in Stilly on Friday night.

Oklahoma State hosts Tulsa at 6:30 p.m. Friday as the Cowboys look to bounce back from a big loss to Oregon with an 11th consecutive win against the Golden Hurricane. Here is how we see the game playing out.

Marshall Scott

Score: Oklahoma State 35, Tulsa 10

OSU MVP: Zane Flores

Uniform: Black (Cursive Cowboys) — Black — Black

Thoughts: I believe Tulsa’s future could be bright under Tre Lamb, but an OSU team that ended the year 3-9 last season beat TU 45-10. So, I’m not picking an upset.

I picked Trent Howland as my OSU MVP on The Reload earlier this week, but the more I’ve thought about it, I’ve started to lean Zane Flores. Howland was OSU’s best offensive option against Oregon (which isn’t saying much), but with the Cowboys still rotating so many running backs, it’s hard to know who will get a solid amount of carries. On top of that, Alan Bowman looked like Joe Montana against Tulsa last season, throwing for 396 yards and five touchdowns.

Kyle Cox

Score: Oklahoma State 28, Tulsa 17

OSU MVP: Zane Flores

Uniform: Black (Cursive Cowboys) — Black — Black

Thoughts: I am going with a Flores MVP bid simply because the Cowboys need it. They need a win, and they need to see something in way of their offense moving the football. He showed some glimpses in Week 1 so maybe we’ll chalk up Week 2 to some combination of Oregon being otherworldly, the moment being too huge and the OL not being gelled yet. I am not quite calling for an all-time performance, but a passing performance near 300 yards and hopefully more TDs than picks.

Tyler Waldrep

Score: Oklahoma State 31, Tulsa 10

OSU MVP: Wendell Gregory

Uniform: Black (Brand) – Black — Black

Thoughts: Tulsa’s run defense forces a couple three-and-outs, but the Cowboys still have firm control of this game early in the fourth quarter. This will be Zane Flores’ best game of the young season, and at least one of his receivers will put on a show. However, the gap between these two in-state schools will be especially noticeable when Tulsa’s offense faces off with the Cowboy defense. Wendell Gregory will step back into the spotlight with a sequel worthy of the potential he flashed in the opener.
