Kick Time Announced for Oklahoma State’s Oct. 11 Home Game against Houston
It’s the first Big 12 morning kick in BPS since 2022.
For the first time since Nov. 26, 2022, Boone Pickens Stadium will host a Big 12 game that kicks before noon.
Oklahoma State’s Week 7 matchup against Houston will kick at 11 a.m. and be televised on TNT, the Big 12 announced Monday.
The Cowboys are 1-3 through their opening four games and have already parted ways with head coach Mike Gundy and defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. OSU travels to Arizona this week for a game against the 3-1 Wildcats.
Houston has gotten off to a much stronger start at 4-0 in the second year under Willie Fritz. The Cougars have wins against Colorado and Oregon State. They’ll host Texas Tech this weekend before making the trip up to Stillwater. Houston has only kicked in the evening (or later) at this point of the year.
OSU was 2-2 for 11 a.m. kicks last season, beating Arkansas and Tulsa before falling to Kansas State and Colorado. OSU last played in the morning slot against Colorado to close last season, when the Buffaloes beat the Pokes 52-0.
The Cowboys are 10-10-1 against Houston all-time. The teams last met in 2023, Houston’s first year in the Big 12, where the Cowboys went down to H-Town and won 43-30. Before that, these teams hadn’t met since 2009, when the Cougars came up to Stillwater and beat the Pokes 45-35.
