From the outlook, Week 6 of the college football season doesn’t feature as many highly anticipated games as the opening handful of weeks have, but it’s usually a week like this that sends the sport into pure chaos.

As Oklahoma State heads to Tucson this weekend, here is a look at some of the other best games from around the country.

Big 12 Schedule

West Virginia (2-3) at No. 23 BYU (4-0) — 9:30 p.m. Friday on ESPN
No. 14 Iowa State (5-0) at Cincinnati (3-1) — 11 a.m. Saturday on ESPN2
Kansas State (2-3) at Baylor (3-2) — 11 a.m. Saturday on ESPN+
Oklahoma State (1-3) at Arizona (3-1) — 2 p.m. Saturday on TNT
No. 11 Texas Tech (4-0) at Houston (4-0) — 6 p.m. Saturday on ESPN
Colorado (2-3) at TCU (3-1) — 6:30 p.m. Saturday on FOX
Kansas (3-2) at UCF (3-1) — 6:30 p.m. Saturday on ESPN2

Iowa State-Cincinnati: Iowa State looks to be a Big 12 title contender at this point in the year, but this Bearcats team has looked better than many expected.

Cincy’s only loss this year was a 3-point defeat to Nebraska to start the season, and the Bearcats started Big 12 play with a road win against Kansas.

The Cyclones looked good in their win against Arizona last week but have played in fairly close games outside of that, beating K-State by 3, Iowa by 3 and Arkansas State by 8.

Texas Tech-Houston: The Cougars have undoubtedly taken a step forward in Year 2 of the Willie Fritz era, but this weekend we’ll find out just how big a step that is.

After handling Colorado to start Big 12 play, Houston got dragged into a classic Pac-12 after dark game against Oregon State last week, winning 27-24 in overtime.

Tech looks like the class of the Big 12, and the Red Raiders are coming off a bye after that big win against Utah. Tech has also played that Oregon State team, beating the Beavers 45-14 in Lubbock.

Other Games to Watch

No. 9 Texas (3-1) at Florida (1-3) — 2:30 p.m. Saturday on ESPN
No. 16 Vanderbilt (5-0) at No. 10 Alabama (3-1) — 2:30 p.m. Saturday on ABC
No. 24 Virginia (4-1) at Louisville (4-0) — 2:30 p.m. Saturday on ESPN2
Washington (3-1) at Maryland (4-0) — 2:30 p.m. Saturday on Big Ten Network
No. 3 Miami (4-0) at No. 18 Florida State (3-1) — 6:30 p.m. Saturday on ABC
Mississippi State (4-1) at No. 6 Texas A&M (4-0) — 6:30 p.m. Saturday on SEC Network

Vanderbilt-Alabama: The Commodores beat Alabama last season, and this Vandy team might be better than last year’s. But, the Crimson Tide have seemingly turned things around after a Week 1 loss to Florida State, as Alabama beat UL-Monroe and Wisconsin big before going on the road and upsetting Georgia last week.

Miami-Florida State: Many of the opening weeks of the season have featured some sort of Florida-Florida matchup, and that continues with the Hurricanes’ trip to Tallahassee. The Seminoles stumbled last week when they lost at Virginia in double-OT. Miami is off to a great start, and if the Hurricanes can get a win here, an undefeated season is certainly in the cards.

Mississippi State-Texas A&M: Mississippi State is sort of getting slept on in the early portions of this season. The Bulldogs already have a win against then-No. 12 Arizona State and went to Knoxville last week and hung with the Vols. The unbeaten Aggies should be the favorite this weekend, but they can’t afford to overlook Mississippi State.

Watercooler Talk

Kent State (1-3) at No. 5 Oklahoma (4-0) — 3 p.m. Saturday on SEC Network
Tulsa (2-3) at Memphis (5-0) — 7 p.m. Saturday on ESPNU
