The Parsa Fallah Era of Oklahoma State basketball might just be rolling on.

The Oklahoman‘s Joe Mussatto on Wednesday reported that Fallah was granted a temporary restraining order to return to the Oklahoma State basketball program, with OSU football player Iman Oates and soccer player Ellie Geoffroy also being mentioned in the court document.

OSU basketball also made the announcement:

Fallah averaged 14.7 points and 6.0 rebounds a game for the Cowboys last season, both career-highs.

He redshirted at Southern Utah during the 2021-22 season following complications with getting to the United States from his home country of Iran. With no U.S. embassy in Iran to get a visa, Fallah had to go through Africa and was there for six months before he was allowed to travel to the states.

At the end of last season, Fallah tore his ACL late in a game where the Cowboys pulled off a big win against West Virginia. After the shocking injury, Fallah made his way to the media room after the game to express to fans how much his year in Stillwater meant to him.

“First of all, I’m really, really grateful for this year that I had here,” Fallah said. “Oklahoma State was the best year I had in my college career. And the fans, sorry … I just hope they know how I really care about them and it was a great experience, so I wanted to say thank you to everyone of y’all, all the fans out there.

“Also I wanted to talk about coach Lutz here. He, I’m sorry, I’m getting emotional. But this man here, I believe that he’s one of the best coaches in the country. I’ve never seen a man work as hard as him. And I think this is your guy, and he will take you as far. And I really mean every word I’m saying. He changed, he changed my life, and I’m really grateful for him. He made me a better man, a better person and a better player, and those two things was mainly stuff I wanted to come here and talk about.”

OSU basketball coach Steve Lutz made it known in June that he was saving a roster spot for Fallah should he be able to return.

This doesn’t mean that all systems are go for Fallah and the Cowboys. The order is in effect until the next hearing is set, meaning the NCAA will have an opportunity to file a response. Fallah also has to get healthy after the ACL tear, so it’s unlikely he’d be ready by the start of the season regardless.
