Drive 23: Oklahoma State 6, Arizona 38

And Fifita hits his man for a 29-yard back-breaker.

Drive 22: Oklahoma State 6, Arizona 31

Cowboys turnover on down. Go for it on fourth-and-4 and Zane Flores takes a sack giving Arizona the ball at the OSU 29. Flores goes directly to the medical tent.

Noah Fifita’s bounceback is complete. That’s four passing TDs for the junior. Arizona pulling away with a little day light left in the third quarter.

Fumble. LOL

Drive 18: Oklahoma State 6, Arizona 24

Fumble.

Bad to worse, after an 11-yard rush, Rodney Fields coughs it up at the Arizona 45. Turnover.

Drive 17: Oklahoma State 6, Arizona 24

At least Arizona is giving the Cowboys a break. Another three-and-out for the Wildcats too. This game is testing OSU fans’ affinity for football.

Drive 16: Oklahoma State 6, Arizona 24

Another Oklahoma State possession, another Oklahoma State three-and-out.

Drive 15: Oklahoma State 6, Arizona 24

Welp…

OSU forces a fumble and Wendell Gregory had a chance to fall on its for a big loss but he tried for the scoop-and-score and ended up letting Arizona recover it. It ends up being a loss of 24 yards and sets up third-and-a mile.

Drive 14: Oklahoma State 6, Arizona 24

Welp.

Zane Flores throws a pick on the first play of the second half. He now has three interceptions and no passing TDs on his career.

HALFTIME: Oklahoma State 6, Arizona 24

Drive 13: Oklahoma State 6, Arizona 24

The Wildcats make use of their 65 seconds and create a FG attempt which is good to erase that 3 points the Cowboys were able to muster.

Drive 12: Oklahoma State 6, Arizona 21

Zane Flores found Terrill Davis for a 25-yard play down the sideline to get OSU into Wildcat territory. But the Cowboys shoot off another toe. On third-and-5 at the Arizona 17, Quenton Stewart was flagged for a personal foul that pushed OSU back to third-and-20.

Pokes settle for a FG to at least get something out of it.

Drive 11: Oklahoma State 3, Arizona 21

Something good happened for Oklahoma State. Parker Roberston gets his first pick of the season. Can the offense do something with it before halftime?

Drive 10: Oklahoma State 3, Arizona 21

Another Cowboy three-and-out. We’re closing in on halftime and the Cowboys have just 67 yards

Drive 9: Oklahoma State 3, Arizona 21

The Cats build their lead with a 47-yard touchdown pass from Fifita to Luke Wysong. The Cowboys

Drive 8: Oklahoma State 3, Arizona 14

Arizona follows suit and misses on its own field goal from 46.

Drive 6: Oklahoma State 3, Arizona 14

The Cowboys move the ball again but come up empty this time. Logan Ward misses short right on a 48-yard FG attempt after making his 47-yard attempt on the previous drive.

Sam Jackon V handled the ball for most of that drive, completing an 18-yard pass to Gavin Freeman but was not able take advantage of a facemask penalty that gave OSU first-and-10 at midfield.

End of Q1: Oklahoma State 3, Arizona 14

The Cowboys bailed out the Wildcats with a roughing-the-passer call and Fifita found Spivey for another TD.

Drive 4: Oklahoma State 3, Arizona 7

OSU gets on the board with a Logan Ward 47-yard kick.

Zane Flores showed off the wheels taking off for a 27-yard run to get OSU into AZ territory but then throws three-straight incompletions.

Drive 3: Oklahoma State 0, Arizona 7

The Cowboys do get a stop. Jacobi Oliphant Jr. records his first career sack to facilitate a three-and-out by Arizona.

Drive 2: Oklahoma State 0, Arizona 7

The Cowboys do not start fast. OSU goes three-and-out on its first drive.

Drive 1: Oklahoma State 0, Arizona 7

The Wildcats get the ball first and make it count.

Arizona scores on an 11-play, 75-yard drive capped by a Noah Fiftia-to-Tre Spivey touchdown pass on fourth-and-3 at the OSU 10.

It’s the third time this season, Arizona scores on its opening drive. The Cowboys won the toss and deferred. Now we’ll see if the Cowboys can replicate the life they brought into the first half last week against Baylor.

The Cowboys are in Tucson for the first matchup against the Wildcats as Big 12 foes.

It’s also the first time the two schools have met since an unranked Arizona team thumped No. 18 Oklahoma State 59-38 in Week 2 of 2012. Doug Meacham was the Cowboys’ Tight End/Wide Receivers Coach that season and Rob Glass was doing Rob Glass things.

Pretty much no one else on the team probably remembers that game. They’ve got some other history to worry about. Like breaking a year-plus losing streak against FBS opponents. To do that, they’ll need to win on the road coming off its first loss of the season to a Top 15 Iowa State team.

The Cowboys and Wildcats are set to kick off at 2 p.m. CST. To get you ready, I’ve included some Pregame reading and the convo is already getting interesting in the The Chamber for our PFB+ subscribers.

As always, stick with us here for updates up until and throughout the game.
