The NFL’s trade deadline has come and gone and no former Cowboys were on the move, though one was speculated to be on the block by some leading into Tuesday night.

Let’s take a look at the happenings of OSU alums across the league in Week 9.

Jaylen Warren Scores Twice

While Warren has been the Steelers’ leading rusher, Kenneth Gainwell has profited from all the goal-line touches. Coming into Week 9, Warren had yet to find the endzone on a handoff. But against the Colts, he found it twice showing he’s no slouch when the field gets small.

Warren and the Steelers broke a two-game skid, defeating the Colts 27-20. Pittsburgh heads to LA to face the Chargers at 7:20 p.m. Sunday. They hold a two-game lead as the AFC North’s top team.

Chuba Stays in Charlotte

After all the talk around the divvying of carries in Carolina, Hubbard saw his pie cut even smaller this weekend.

Hubbard got just five handoffs for 17 yards in the Panthers’ 16-13 win over Green Bay. He did make this heads-up play though.

Rico Dowdle got the bigger piece, taking 25 handoffs for 130 yards and two scores.

This continued trajectory led some interneters to speculate that Hubbard could (or should) be traded. But the specifics of his contract, included a $10 million cap hit, made that not a smart move for the Panthers.

For now, he’ll remain with the Panthers and make the most of his carries. He’s just one turned ankle away from being back to RB1. The Panthers, in second place in the NFC South, will host division rival, last-placed New Orleans at noon on Sunday.

Korie Black Fills Up the Stat Sheet

It wasn’t a great showing for Black and the Giants’ secondary, but the first-year DB made some plays and took a step forward.

After logging his first career tackle the week prior, the rookie corner made an impact on Sunday.

Black logged eight total tackles (two solo hits) and a tackle for loss in the Giants’ 34-24 loss to San Francisco.

Ollie Thrown Under the Bus

Things aren’t going so smoothly in South Beach.

Following the Dolphins’ 28-6 home loss to Baltimore on Thursday, the team fired GM Chris Grier. There was speculation prior to that, mostly on the interwebs, that head coach Mike McDaniel was on the hot seat. With his team at 2-7, he still is.

But frustrations boiled over on Thursday night when his rookie running back was flagged for what was universally considered a horrible call.

That didn’t keep McDaniel or his staff from letting Gordon have it.

Gordon was upset. The coaches were upset. Miami Dolphins fans are upset. Unfortunately, things won’t get much better as they host the red-hot Buffalo Bills at noon on Sunday.

Week 9 Numbers

Jaylen Warren (Pittsburgh Steelers): 16 carries for 31 yards and two touchdowns, two catches for -2 yards

Emmanuel Ogbah (Jacksonville Jaguars): three tackles (two solo), one tackle for loss, one QB hit

Tyler Lacy (Detroit Lions): four tackles (one solo), one QB hit

Chuba Hubbard (Carolina Panthers): five carries for 17 yards

Ollie Gordon II (Miami Dolphin): two carries for six yards, one catches for three yards

Justice Hill (Baltimore Ravens): one carry for two yards, two catches for 13 yards
