There were several former Cowboys making plays this past week in the NFL. Let’s take a look around the league, starting with a sighting of OSU’s all-time leading passer.

Rudolph Gets a Hero’s Welcome and Pays It Off

Mason Rudolph spelled an injured Aaron Rodgers in the second half of Pittsburgh’s 34-12 win over Cincinnati

And he paid off that support by leading the Steelers to a win.

Pittsburgh Steelers fans have had a love-hate relationship with Rudolph over his career, but the love was beating the hate on Sunday.

There was a great story about Rudolph and fellow Pittsburgh backup in the Post Gazette this week.

Rodgers’ status is TBD at this point with a fractured wrist, but it appears he won’t need surgery. At 6-4, the Steelers sit atop the AFC North. They head to Chicago to face the NFC North’s top team, the 7-3 Bears at noon Sunday.

Warren Leaves with Ankle Injury

One Cowboy in, one Cowboy out.

Leaving Pittsburgh’s backfield was Jaylen Warren who suffered an ankle injury, though it doesn’t look like it should be a long-term issue.

While he was in, he was doing Jaylen Warren things.

Hopefully he’ll be back to those soon.

Ollie Shows Off His Moves

The former Doak Walker winner saw the end zone for Miami’s only touchdown during the Dolphins’ 16-13 overtime win against the Commanders.

Recently, the rookie drew some ire from his coaching staff (fair or not), but Ollie had plenty to celebrate in Madrid.

The Dolphins will take a much needed bye week following their European trip.

Nick Martin Posts Career Highs

Another Cowboys rookie had a nice outing.

Nick Martin was given an increased role due to injury, and he was productive, recording seven tackles (five solo) in the 49ers’ 41-22 win over division rival Arizona.

Beware the fan account. This was not Martin’s debut, but his most productive outing by far. In four previous appearances, he’d logged just one total tackle. But the more reps he gets in situations like this, the better for his development. And he appears to be putting some good coachable reps on film.

The continuously banged up Niners sit in third place in the NFC West, but are still just two games back from the Rams. They host the Panthers on Monday night. Maybe Martin will get a chance to tackle Chuba Hubbard.

UPDATE: The Detroit Lions activated Malcolm Rodriguez from the reserve/physically unable to perform list.
