Reports: Oklahoma State Hiring Cooper Kupp’s Former Coach to Lead WRs
Nick Edwards was most recently at Wake Forest.
STILLWATER — Until Wednesday night, Eric Morris’ offensive staff remained mostly a mystery as various defensive assistant names trickled out alongside numerous front office personnel.
CBS sports reporter Matt Zentiz reports that Wake Forest receivers coach Nick Edwards is joining the OSU staff in the same role.
Edwards got his start as a strength and conditioning assistant at Eastern Washington in 2013. Within one year, he moved over to coach wide receivers. He later spent three years at Cal before taking a fellowship with the Minnesota Vikings in 2020.
He served as the offensive coordinator at Cal Poly after that, then worked as an offensive assistant for the Atlanta Falcons in 2022. He worked at Washington State from 2023-24 as a receivers coach.
He is perhaps best known for coaching Seattle Seahawk Cooper Kupp, who made a name for himself in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams.
