The commitments are coming like water out of a firehose. Miles Coleman marks another North Texas player to join Eric Morris in Stillwater.

Coleman is a 5-foot-6, 159-pound slot receiver from Austin. He was high school classmates with new OSU quarterback Drew Mestemaker.

Coleman took part in a dozen of North Texas’ games this past season — his true sophomore year. He caught 47 passes for 550 yards and a pair of scores. Coleman had a big American Conference title game, catching seven passes for 125 yards and a score.

With his speed, Coleman has big play potential. He tied for ninth among qualifying receivers in the American Conference in averaging 6.2 yards after catch per catch. He finished the year with 296 yards after catch and a longest reception of 59 yards.

As a true freshman in 2024, Coleman had 36 receptions across 11 games for 378 yards and two TDs.

So going into his junior year, Coleman already has 83 catches for 928 yards and four touchdowns.

Coming out of Austin-Vandergrift, Coleman was a three-star prospect in the 2024 class who 247Sports listed as the No. 2,130 player in the cycle. He had 1,014 receiving yards and 14 receiving TDs as a senior and chose OSU over offers from Tulsa, UNLV and others.

Morris has said he likes multisport athletes, and Coleman fits into that. He was on the Vandergrift track and lacrosse teams, as well.

247Sports lists Coleman as a three-star transfer prospect and the No. 465 player in the entire portal. That makes him a Top 100 receiver in the portal.

The Cowboys need help at receiver. Gavin Freeman is the only receiver still on the roster who caught a pass for the Cowboys last season.
