Oklahoma State Adds Portal TE, Two More 2026 Commits
OSU is looking to put the finishing touches on its roster.
STILLWATER — Oklahoma State isn’t one for dull Fridays lately, and that proved true in the late afternoon when three players announced commitments.
On Thursday, Marshall wrote that Oklahoma State needed more tight ends. One day later, the Cowboys brought in their third portal addition.
Virginia Military Institute senior Morgan McPhaul caught 15 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown in 2025. He finished as the TE1, playing a position-high 443 snaps last season.
In his career, McPhaul played 1,140 snaps, giving him a nearly 600-snap lead at the Division-I level over Oklahoma State’s other rostered tight ends, which now include LSU transfer Donovan Green (527 snaps), Oscar Hammond (333), SWOSU transfer Bodie Boydstun and possibly Will Monney (281).
Across his entire career, McPhaul recorded 30 receptions for 255 yards and two scores across 33 total games. He should have one year of eligibility left and seems poised to best impact the Cowboys as a blocker.
He finished 2025 with a career-high pass-blocking grade of 68.9, according to PFF. He graded out with a 70 or above, protecting the quarterback in five of 11 graded games in 2025. PFF only credits him with allowing two pressures.
Maliek Bracy, a 3-star cornerback in the 2026 class, recommitted to the program.

He previously committed to the Cowboys in October, but later pulled back in early December.
MaxPreps credits him with 42 tackles in 2025 to go along with one interception and two blocked extra points.
Linebacker Beau Wendel also committed to the Cowboys. His announcement specified “MLB” for middle linebacker.
MaxPreps does not show Wendel with defensive stats in 2025, though it shows he played 30 games in the two previous seasons, finishing with 38 total tackles, including eight for loss and three sacks.
It’s uncertain whether that data wasn’t entered online or perhaps he just played quarterback. In 10 games at the position in 2025, Wendel completed 59% of his 122 attempts for 1,234 yards and 15 touchdowns against only two interceptions.
He also carried the ball for 611 yards and 10 touchdowns while averaging 6.2 yards per rush.
