Mestemaker was sixth (in The Athletic‘s quarterback rankings) behind Trinidad Chambliss (Ole Miss), Dante Moore (Oregon), Carr, Darian Mensah (Miami) and Julian Sayin (Ohio State). Mateer was 16th.
