Oklahoma State Unveils 2026-27 Wrestling Schedule

Year 3 of the David Taylor Era of Cowboy Wrestling is set.

Oklahoma State released its full 2026-27 schedule on Thursday with a fun video:

The schedule kicks off with the recently announced OSU Invite, where Little Rock, Gardner Webb and SIU-Edwardsville will come to Stillwater for an individual tournament that could feature multiple Cowboys per bracket.

Dual action gets rolling a week later when Drexel comes to Stillwater.

OSU’s Nov. 13 dual against Nebraska will be a big one. The Cornhuskers finished third at NCAAs last season, a spot behind the Cowboys, and Nebraska added some pieces this offseason that could make that dual all the more competitive. Former NC State 125-pounder Vincent Robinson transferred to Lincoln. Robinson beat Troy Spratley in the 2025 NCAA final, and Robinson is 4-1 against Spratley in college. The Huskers also added Anthony Echemendia from Iowa State, who gave Sergio Vega tough matches in the dual and the Big 12 final last season.

The Arizona State dual kicks off Big 12 action and comes at a cool time, as it is the night before the two schools play football in Tempe. That means Cowboy fans who make the trip for the football game could see their wrestling team as well.

Bedlam will be in Norman this year. The Sooners also did some work in the portal, brining in Jersey Robb (Oklahoma State), Paddy Gallagher (Ohio State) and others.

OSU will spend a lot of time in the state of Iowa this season, as the Pokes will travel up for duals against Northern Iowa and Iowa State before making a return trip less than a month later to square off with the Hawkeyes.

Taylor returns three national champions from last season in Jax Forrest, Vega and Landon Robideau. The Cowboys also have five other All-Americans returning while also bringing in the No. 1 recruiting class and two transfers expected to compete for starting spots.
