Oklahoma State and Mississippi State have agreed to a home-and-home football series in 2030 and 2031, the programs announced on Wednesday.

The Cowboys will host the Bulldogs on Sept. 7, 2030 before traveling to Starkville for a game on Sept. 6, 2031.

The two teams have met five times previously, with OSU winning three of those contests.

They last played to start the 2013 season at Reliant Stadium (previously NRG Stadium) in Houston, where OSU won 21-7. In a game that featured current Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, J.W. Walsh was the star that day, throwing for 135 yards while running for another 125 and a score. Jeremy Smith also ran for 102 yards and a touchdown.

That was the teams’ only meeting of the 2000s, as before that they met in Starkville in 1999, a game Mississippi State won 29-11. The year before, OSU beat the Bulldogs 42-23 in Stillwater.

They also split meetings in the early 1970s, with OSU winning 26-7 in Stillwater in 1971, and Mississippi State winning 14-13 in Starkville in 1970.

Jeff Lebby is in his third year leading the Bulldog program, and has Mississippi State at 4-1 this season, climbing as high as No. 16 in the AP Poll.

The Cowboys are not shying away from Power Conference competition in the coming years. OSU recently announced a home-and-hone with Alabama had been canceled, but Arkansas (2027, 2032, 2033), Michigan State (2028, 2029) and Nebraska (2034, 2035) are all on upcoming schedules. Meanwhile, the Pokes have played Oregon, Arkansas, Arizona State (pre-Big 12) since 2020.
