2016 Combo Guard Tre Evans Decommits from OSU
2016 Edmond North guard Tre Evans announced yesterday he has decided to reopen his recruiting, and back off his verbal pledge to Oklahoma State.
My family and I have decided the best thing for me and my future is to reopen my recruiting.

Evans is the son of former OU point guard Terry Evans. When he was younger, he hoped to get the chance to play at OU, but as the recruiting process progressed, he wasn’t getting the same attention from OU as he was from OSU.
“At first it was kind of frustrating,” Evans told Scott Wright in October. “But after OSU came after me, I felt like I just wanted to prove OU wrong. OSU is a way better fit. We’re coming up and gonna beat everybody.”
The reason for his decommitment is unknown for now, but if OU were to turn the heat up, it could be a potential landing spot for the sharp shooter from Edmond.
OSU now has zero basketball commitments in the 2016 class, but is already in pursuit of some top-flight talent.
