Mike Gundy Helping Recruit Nations No. 1 TE
The nations No. 1 tight end prospect in the country, Isaac Nauta, recently backed off his verbal commitment to Florida State and Oklahoma State could benefit from his decision.
Nauta recently tweeted out his official visits, which include, Georgia, Michigan, USC, and TCU – all schools that are considered to be his favorites.

He has yet to announce his fifth and final official visit, but Ole Miss, Alabama, Oregon and Oklahoma State are all vying for his final visit. As far as priority, I suspect Nauta is high on the list for the Cowboys coaching staff, because Mike Gundy is involved in his recruitment. If you look at his rankings by the scouts, it makes sense why he is such a big target.
“It’s kind of a school that has came on just recently, but coach Gundy wants to put in a Cowboy back and they are definitely going to be using the tight end more,” Nauta told DawgNation regarding Oklahoma State. “It is something that’s going to be cool to watch this year to see what they do with the tight end.”
Most importantly, Nauta said his fifth official visit isn’t necessarily going to be a visit just for publicity. “All the five schools I will take the five officials to will have a legit shot of getting me. I’ve already told all the coaches that the school that recruits me the hardest from this point to this point will get that fifth official visit. So it is all fair game.”
Game on.
