Mason Rudolph Joins Brandon Weeden in 400-Yard Club Against Kansas State

On a day in which the running game was almost completely dormant, quarterback Mason Rudolph lead the team in a come from behind victory to outlast the fighting Snydercats 36-34.

Rudolph finished the day with 437 passing yards, the fourth-highest in program history. The other top three belong to Brandon Weeden. Rudolph is the only QB other than Weeden (who did it seven times) to now have multiple 400-yard passing games.

He’s eight games into his college football career.

Going into the day, the Cowboys were without leading rusher Chris Carson and Rennie Childs due to injury, and Gundy knew he had a tough challenge ahead. In the postgame, Gundy said he had a feeling they would have to toss it around a lot.

Rudolph finished the day 34-55 passing (62 percent completion percentage) and three touchdown tosses.
