James Washington Has Record-Setting 200-Yard Day Against Texas Tech
If you were going to pick a day for James Washington to have his career day, you could do a lot worse than at Texas Tech. Washington is from Stamford, Texas which Google tells me is 147 miles from Lubbock. He had a lot of folks coming in for the festivities.
“All of the people of this community, we try to get behind our kids,” his mom Chrysta Washington told the Oklahoman. “Some of them have never seen something like this and it’s an opportunity, because it’s so close. “So a lot of them said, ‘We want to go support him.’ He should have a lot of people there to try and root him on.”
Washington became just the sixth Cowboy to have a 200-yard receiving day in school history. It was the 10th 200-yard receiving day in school history.
How good is Gundy going into Lubbock and beating Kliff with a 1A receiver a stone’s throw from Lubbock? It’s pretty great.
