Who is the starting running back?
Junior tailback Chris Carson entered the season as the starting running back for the Cowboys, but as the season has progressed the position has turned into a committee-like approach.
On Saturday, Oklahoma State used five running backs (including J.W. Walsh) and the running game was simply not there.
Walk-on Raymond Taylor got the start and lead the team in rushing; however 9 rushes for 28 yards doesn’t quite cut the mustard.
The updated depth chart was released Monday morning, and apparently all the running backs could be the starter. Or none. Each back is listed as -or- meaning that while each back obviously brings different talents to the table, they are virtually interchangeable on the depth chart.
