Emmanuel Ogbah Became the NCAA Active Sack Leader Saturday
With two sacks on Saturday, defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah moved to 11 sacks on the year and now has 26 career sacks, which now leads the NCAA in active players.
Ogbah’s 11 sacks also ranks third in the country behind Penn State’s Carl Nassib and Maryland’s Yannick Ngakoue. Ogbah’s 11 sacks this year ties his season high from last season, with still two big games left on the schedule.
As Kyle Fredrickson noted, Leslie O’Neal currently holds the single season OSU record with 16, but Ogbah has a legitimate shot to make a move up the board by the end of the season.
